About

Dylan Etienne is a versatile singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and arranger based in the vibrant Cincinnati, Ohio.

Raised in rural Cynthiana, Kentucky, Etienne took up the guitar at 10 years old, and quickly expanded to piano, drums, bass, and vocals. He spent his formative years surrounded by the classic rock, funk, and blues of the 70’s and 80’s, 2010’s pop, all kinds of jazz artists from Cannonball Adderly to Dave Koz, classical pieces, and film music. Etienne graduated from Cincinnati’s prestigious College-Conservatory of Music with a Commercial Music Production degree in 2023. Dylan’s skills as a producer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist are on full display in his original songs as well as his frequent collaborations with fellow Cincinnati artist Alara and alternative rock band Goof Juice. His work blends rock-based production and a contemporary jazz language with pop sensibilities that push the boundaries of each genre no single one achieves on its own. Think if John Mayer and Dave Grohl joined Snarky Puppy. Etienne has performed frequently with other bands (Goof Juice, Zolmon’s Wolfgang, Alara, Low Gap, VisionBoard) as a drummer, vocalist, guitarist, and bassist, and also does many recording sessions with local artists gaining an impressive reputation around the city.

Dylan has three releases out on every major streaming platform. 2021’s ‘Cause I Love You EP, showcasing his varied songwriting and bluesy performance skillset. 2022’s Crazy Things plays with groove and polyrhythms as well as personal battles with depression and anxiety in a cleaner pop aesthetic. His latest release is the single Everything You Tell Me To, an alternative synth r&b-styled single that is as hard-hitting and beautiful as it is mysterious and chilling. All songs by Dylan Etienne are completely self-written, performed, produced, mixed and mastered by himself in his home studio.
